Research

The overall objective of our research activity is to make a significant contribution to the conceptualisation of a durable blueprint for lasting peace that is deserving of the term . Applying theological-philosophical competence, the intellectual-historical dimension of depth of the issue of peace is illuminated and linked up in a process of normative reflection with the insights that have become available to us through empirical social science, political science and other disciplines of relevance to peace. The ultimate mission is to utilise the peace ethos of Jesus as handed down through the traditions of the Church with a view to further developing it in the context of our current perception of peace and implementing it in the face of whatever challenges the future may hold in store.
