Committee & panel activity

The staff at the Institute are involved in numerous church, ecumenical and academic committees such as, for example, the Deutsche Kommission Justitia et Pax (German Commission Justitia et Pax [Justice and Peace]), the Deutsche Stiftung Friedensforschung (DSF) [the German Foundation for Peace Research], the working groups of the Zentralkomitee der deutschen Katholiken (ZdK) [the Central Committee of German Catholics] and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft christlicher Kirchen (ACK) [the Study Group of Christian Churches]. By doing this, the Institute meets its obligations to make itself available to the Church in an advisory capacity. Moreover, it contributes to the development and perpetuation of an ecumenical doctrine of peace. Finally, the Institute has a say in matters involving research projects, research policy and promotion.
