‘Afghanistan as a challenge for the ecclesiastical doctrine of peace’ – Seminar in peace ethics for military pastors at the Center for the Ethical Education of Armed Forces (zebis) Hamburg
| In the wake of the tragic events in Kunduz on 4 September 2009 and the New Year’s Sermon by Margot Käßmann, Afghanistan has once again become a controversial issue in the public eye. Due to their expertise in peace ethics, military pastors are more and more frequently asked to assess the situation in Afghanistan. The Center for the Ethical Education of Armed Forces, thus, organised a seminar in peace ethics for military pastors, which took place in Hamburg from 22 – 26 March. |
