Institute for Theology and Peace

The Institute for Theology and Peace (Institut für Theologie und Frieden – [ithf]) is an academic facility of the Catholic Church and is administered by the Catholic Military Pastoral Care Service. At the core of its research and documentation activity lies political and social debate on issues of peace viewed from a theological perspective. It is the task of the Institute to research the ethical fundamentals of a blueprint for lasting peace for mankind and to carry the fruits of that effort into the ongoing discourse on the politics of peace.
